 Dr.
Peterson is a dentist who devotes his practice to Cosmetic Dentistry, and
to the Diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of individuals
suffering from acute and chronic head,
neck, facial pain and /or temporomandibular related disorders (TMJ or TMD).
Our goal is to provide a thorough and confidential assessment of each patient,
and to arrive at an accurate diagnosis followed by an appropriate treatment.
Dr Peterson
was appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor, University of the Pacific
School of Dentistry, San Francisco, California in 1997. He was also
appointed Senior Clinical instructor at the
TMJ Orofacial Pain Clinic,
White Memorial Medical Center, Los Angeles, California since 1995. He is a
graduate of the University of Southern California with a B.A. degree is psychology
. In 1973, Dr. Peterson graduated from the University of the Pacific as President
of his graduation class. He is a published author in the field of Orofacial
pain and TMJ disorders.
Dr. Peterson began his private dentistry practice in Santa Ana,
California in 1974, and is devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of craniomandibular
disorders, TMJ orthopedics, and oral medicine. Dr. Peterson is a member of
the American Academy of Pain Management, and has been appointed as an IME
(Independent Medical Evaluator), and a QME (Qualified Medical Evaluator) by
the State of California, Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Industrial
Accidents. In addition to being a member of the International College of Craniomandibular
Orthopedics, he holds membership in many other professional organizations.
These include the Orange County Dental Society, the California Dental Association
(CDA), and the American Dental Association (ADA).
